Welcome. I am delighted you found your way here.
Here's a bit about me:
My name is Tamara (it sounds like camera). I have loved photography for as long as I can remember and always dreamed of making it a career. I originally studied Marine Science with a bit of Design and traditional Film Photography sprinkled in. After 10 years of working in the corporate world, I put the suit and heels in the back of the closet to follow my dream. In 2009, after graduating from Boston University Center for Digital Imaging Arts, I started Studio Amis.
Connecting with my clients through my imagery is what makes me thrive. I consider every client a friend and strive to know them on a more personal level in an effort to tell their story in the most genuine and creative way possible. I specialize in providing creative photography in an unobtrusive manner with a focus on the client experience. My goal is to constantly push myself to capture something unexpected and beautiful with the hope that when you see an image it brings you back to that exact moment in time.
In my free time, you will likely find me working on personal art, raising chickens, gardening, or at the beach.

What was included in your wedding photo package? Albums? DVDs? Engagement pics? Two photographers?
Two photographers, Online gallery, DVD of images, Engagement session
How did the photographer make you and family comfortable?
The girls of Studio Amis were an absolute delight to work with before, during, and after our wedding day. Not only are their photographs stunning, they also capture all of the emotion of our day. The girls of Studio Amis have a great eye for photography- they turned everything from the detail of my veil to the *kiss* into art. Beyond the photography, the girls are awesome people- caring, passionate, and fun. Although my husband and I are a bit shy, and certainly not used to having our photographs taken, they really made us feel comfortable and allowed us to be ourselves. Having our engagement pictures taken was one of the most fun parts of the pre-wedding craziness. It felt like we were just goofing around with friends that we had known forever- except these friends took amazing pictures!
Having Tamara and Janelle there on our wedding day made me feel much calmer than I think I would have felt otherwise. I really trusted them to capture all of the important moments of the day. Indeed- looking through the photos is like reliving the day- but even better. Bottom line- I feel extraordinarily lucky to have found Studio Amis. They exceeded every expectation that I had and I strongly recommend them.
