Bellingham, WA based wedding photographer specializing in photography with artistic and story telling style.
What was your favorite wedding photo?
A super glamorous photo of me in my gown, lying in a field of wild flowers. (Selena put a blanket underneath me to protect my gown). I've never felt beautiful in my life, and have avoided anyone with a camrea. Now, when I look at that photo, it marks a significant life change for me. It is now the desktop image on my laptop!
How did the wedding photographer avoid disrupting the day? Great with candids? Action shots? Portraits?
Selena jokingly referred to herself as a "wedding ninja", and that was so true. She avoided stepping in front of our video guy, even if it meant lying on the floor to get the shot of us exchanging rings. Action shots (jump shots) were a riot, and we all had a blast. Wish we would have brought our bicycles!
What was included in your wedding photo package? Albums? DVDs? Engagement pics? Two photographers?
I bought the cheapest package and still got all my photos retouched (not a pimple or wrinkle to be found), and I got all our images on a pretty DVD, with a professional quality DVD case that has our photo on the cover. She also gave us a disc of small files for our Facebook page. And 50 (I think) business cards with our photo, to give our friends. Lastly, an online gallery slide show that played to our "first dance" song, so that our friends in Alaska could see the day unfold.
How did the photographer make you and family comfortable?
She was great with my more demanding family members, while still making me feel like I was the most important person in the room. And her assistant helped my Mom cut and serve the cake.
